3.Co-investigator in the Grant "Program for emergency supplementation of Iodine in school-age population of the mountainous areas of the Republic of Azerbaijan."
The aim of the project was the treatment with iodine of 250.000 children in regions of Azerbaijan with Iodine deficiency. It was funded by the European Union: 96 million drachmas, the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of the Hellenic Republic and the Greek Society of Endocrinology in 1999, under the auspices of the NGO "Doctors of the World-Greek Section" which had developed and implemented this program.

10.Co-investigator in the Grant "Contribution to the treatment of iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) of the school-age population in mountainous areas (Caucasus) of Azerbaijan" participating in the design and implemention of this program funded by the Ministry of Education and Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic in 2004. The aim of the project was to follow the results of the previous administration of iodine in 250000 children in regions with iodine deficiency of mountainous regions of Azerbaijan and to transfer technology in Azerbaijani doctors by creating a fully equipped laboratory for the detection of IDD in the mountainous areas of Azerbaijan.
